Always moving forward, always striving for more—this mindset defines Olaf Kitzig. He is driven by a constant desire to learn and evolve, both as a designer and an entrepreneur.

A lifelong passion for aesthetics and the design of spaces and objects has guided him throughout his career. He thrives in creative processes and is dedicated to shaping emotions and memories through thoughtful design. What fascinates him most is the opportunity to experiment and surprise—by combining new materials, exploring fresh perspectives, and breaking established habits. In this way, he creates distinctive interiors and resonant spaces that engage people and make brands tangible through storytelling.

His own professional journey was guided by a clear goal: to unite design and independence. After completing apprenticeships as a painter and varnisher, as well as a display designer, he earned a degree as a certified interior consultant at the Fachschule des Möbelhandels in Cologne. He then gained experience as a trainee and freelancer with various interior designers abroad, including in the UK and the USA. In 1998, he laid the foundation for the Kitzig Design Studios with the establishment of Kitzig Interior Design – Architecture Group in Lippstadt.

If an idea takes on a real form and a project is handed over for its intended use, it is still the most rewarding moment of Viki’s work. She particularly appreciates the moments when clients, employees, and guests experience a newly created space for the first time—when form, function, color, and materials come together to create a cohesive atmosphere.

Viki studied architecture at TU Dortmund and completed her degree at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg. During this time, she also became familiar with the multifaceted world of hospitality and gained formative experience in the environment of the Kunsthalle Hamburg.

After several years working as a freelance planner in interior design, she realized her first construction project—many more followed. The journey from concept to completed space continues to shape her understanding of architecture and design.

Today, Viki is Managing Director of Kitzig Interior Design and heads the Bochum office. Her focus lies on developing distinctive design solutions and fostering long-term relationships with clients.

In her work, Donata combines architectural expertise with a strategic perspective on project development and sustainable real estate concepts. Her main focus is the development, preservation, and contemporary use of historic buildings. As Managing Director at Kitzig Interior Design, she leads the Düsseldorf office.

Donata studied architecture, where she deepened both her design interests and her technical and planning skills. Even during her studies, she developed a particular focus on the sensitive treatment of existing buildings.

She then specialized with a Master’s degree in Project Development, complementing her architectural knowledge with economic and strategic aspects of real estate and urban development. Numerous travels across Europe have shaped her passion for historic architecture—a perspective that continues to inspire her work and projects to this day.

Tanja is responsible for the development and execution of complex projects and serves as Managing Director of the Lippstadt office at Kitzig Interior Design. Her focus is on bringing together design quality, conceptual clarity, and precise implementation.

She has been part of the company since 2006. During this time, she has overseen numerous projects both domestically and internationally, taken on responsibilities in various roles, and gradually expanded her scope from project work to strategic and organizational functions.

Her professional journey began with vocational training as an industrial clerk. She then studied product design and graduated as a Diplom Designer. Early on, she developed a keen understanding of how to balance functionality with design.

Today, she brings her extensive experience, structured approach, and passion for good design to the development and execution of complex projects.

Since 2017, Rebecca has been Managing Director of Kitzig Identities, alongside Olaf Kitzig. She is passionate about the interplay of graphics, space, and atmosphere –moments where design becomes tangible and brands come to life.

During her studies in Communication Design at FH Düsseldorf, she spent a semester abroad in the Netherlands and received a scholarship from Bremer Design GmbH –experiences that profoundly shaped her perspective on design. She then worked in an exhibition design studio in Münster, a formative stage that fueled her passion for creating spaces where graphics, environment, information, and staging come together seamlessly.

Rebecca joined Kitzig Interior Design in 2014. From this work emerged the idea of closely integrating brand design and spatial design. In 2017, Kitzig Identities was founded – a studio that operates precisely at this intersection.
