SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course, part of Destination by Hyatt, set in the Scottish borders in the county of Roxburghshire, is being modernised and expanded. The idea for the design of the stately country house and future luxury hotel was inspired by the unique, traditional character of Scottish culture and landscape. The concept revolves around the historic charm and appeal of these impressive premises.

Heritage features are preserved, staged and highlighted by a modern, luxurious interior and a sophisticated lighting concept. The cultural influences of the region are reflected in authentic wooden fittings, atmospheric fireplaces and bays, accentuated by interior details. Stylish indirect lighting emphasises the imposing ceiling stucco, echoed in every room of the main house. Exclusive upholstery fabrics, high-quality finishes and a colour scheme tailored to the tartan of the former owner, the Duke of Roxburgh, give the rooms a distinctive atmosphere.
