«Life begins after coffee.» The name of the in-house coffee shop, Legs 11, of the Hotel Mondial am Dom Cologne was inspired by the «eleven commandments of Cologne», a tongue-in-cheek «constitution» in the local vernacular. In the course of the hotel’s refurbishment, the coffee house was also extensively modernised. «Feel at Home» is the motto of the redesigned interior of the Legs 11, which is prominently situated in Cologne’s old city centre. Inviting, earthy shades and solid wood have been combined with steel elements and light-coloured vintage tiles.
