Room concepts, interior styling, product sourcing and material research. The Flat furnishes, decorates and styles living spaces with dedication.
The Kitzig Story
In 1998, Olaf Kitzig founded the studio Kitzig Interior Design – Architecture Group in his hometown of Lippstadt. The practice grew steadily with the opening of additional offices in Bochum (2001) and Düsseldorf (2018).
In 2017, the company underwent a strategic evolution: the fields of communication design and product management were established as independent studios - Kitzig Identities and Kitzig Details (today The Flat) - and brought together under the newly created holding Kitzig Design Studios.
With the opening of a new location in the United States, the company continues to expand its international presence in 2026.

THE FLAT
More than just cooking: A "Livingrrom" furnished with high quality materials and modern art. The individually made from natural stone Arbeistplatte is a real eye-catcher! The ensemble of coordinated furniture, surfaces and lighting creates a unique feel-good atmosphere. The room is rounded off by the adjacent terrace with a view of the Rhine.

PRIVATE VILLAS RESORT
The concept aims to combine nature and luxury by utilising existing spaces and buildings to create a stylish form of slow travel. The indoor and outdoor spaces merge through themes such as nature, light, shapes and materials that are found and processed locally. Guests can enjoy the flora, fauna and sky in ‘nests’ or relax in sunny spots by the water. All buildings are transparent and intimate, with a focus on natural colours and materials that incorporate international design and craftsmanship.
