Residential house in Kleinmachnow/Berlin

Dating back to 1920 and located on the former boundary between east and west, the house has witnessed an eventful past. However the dust of the past has to be cleared out. The floor plan has been bought up to date, new lighting has been fitted and all surfaces have been given a new lease of life: The wallpaper features clear patterns, the masonry has been set in an artful way, reflecting surfaces in various colours, all steps have been removed and made accessible, the top floors now feature 120x120cm finestone slabs or vintage wood and the basement has been made liveable. In contrast to the other floors, it has been fitted with a brilliant white, cast floor.

Even on the exterior, the villa has been given a colour scheme which is not typical for a house of this age. With the simple conservatory and the all glass surrounds, the whole building has been brought up to date.
