In the Isar Medical Centre, Munich, the surgery rooms are integrated. The waiting area is consisted of a seating bank which gives way to a spatial room structure. However, the seating bank still offers privacy as well comfort in spite of its usage. The matching reception area has been given a reserved design. The 1,15 m high reception counter, is finished as one-piece and optically gives the impression that it grows out of the building structure. A floor to ceiling sliding door allows entry into the back office and the archive. Also the furniture and room concept has been based on straight lines and modern forms, combined with warm materials, such as walnut and semianillin-leather in touched in ecru and carried on through the treatment rooms.
